Wander
down a winding country
lane, across open fields with cattle grazing or hay being made and at
its end, you find Holly Oak Cottages, a haven of peace and tranquillity.
The cottages lie within a beautiful, unspoilt valley, near the Roaches, Staffordshire, in the Peak National
Park, being remote but not isolated. The converted shippon and barn
are perfectly located for a relaxing country holiday. They are particularly
suitable for families holidaying together or groups of fishermen, walkers
or climbers.
For
the walker there are many miles of footpaths to be explored; Lud Church
and the Roaches being a goal for many. Turner's Pool is only 5 minutes
walk away for coarse fishing and adult visitors enjoy a complimentary,
one day free pass.
Other activities to be enjoyed are climbing, hang gliding, riding, clay
pigeon shooting, air rifle target practice, pony trekking or visits
to Alton Towers, Festival Park, Chatsworth House and local National
Trust properties.
